What began as a jam
between guitarists Robert Fripp and Jakko
Jakszyk was transformed by the latter into
a collection of songs, later embellished by
Fripp and saxophonist/flautist Mel Collins,
with drummer Gavin Harrison and bassist/
Stick Man Tony Levin adding the final touches.
While prettier and less arcane than most
Crimson music, these six musically superb
and emotionally engaging songs subtly reference
the band’s legacy and periodically
manifest its gravitas. DGM.
