Godin & G4V presents Daryl Stuermer @ Cream City Music
May, 2008
Godin Guitars and Guitars For Vets presents the Daryl Stuermer Duo Live in the Cream City Music Showroom Saturday May 31st at 4:30 pm.
Cream City Music is proud to be host to renowned Milwaukee guitarist Daryl Stuermer in support of the Guitars for Vets (G4V) charity event. Guitars For Vets is a non-profit organization created to enhance the lives of ailing and injured vets by providing them with guitars and music instruction. Director of education for G4V, Patrick Nettesheim says this about the results of his efforts, “The response to our Program has been astounding! I believe that music has been rediscovered as one of the most powerful healing modalities available. I have seen the solemn faces of traumatized soldiers light up with joy and hope when they receive their guitar from G4V”. The goal is to donate as many as 1000 guitars per year to Vets all over the U.S.
Daryl Stuermer will be giving a performance clinic, as well as answering questions from the audience of the Cream City Music Showroom. Godin Guitars will be donating a Godin Triumph electric guitar to the charity event. Personally played and signed by Daryl, the guitar will be raffled off after the performance. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards the charitable organization Guitars for Vets.
While performing with Genesis and Phil Collins or in studio recording his latest album, Daryl Stuermer turns to the powerhouse of tone and versatility of his Godin LGXT. This 3-voice guitar allows for a world of sonic possibilities through a 13-pin output, as well as acoustic and its main electric sounds. “The LGXT gives me more options in sound than any other guitar I’ve ever owned and it’s a dream to play,” says Stuermer of his main axe, which is featured on the cover and in the music of his latest album entitled “GO” on InsideOut Music.
