Luthier Gordy Bischoff collaborated with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver to build
this baritone guitar from Bushmills whiskey barrels.
The body is 95%
quarter-sawn white oak from the barrels, with a beam under the top that
holds two magnetic pickups, and there is also an acoustic pickup mounted
in the wooden bridge. The guitar has a hard-rock maple bolt-on neck with
a 27.5"-scale ebony fretboard, and the Volume and Tone controls are made
from Bushmills bottle caps.
