Otis Amps Introduces the Trudeau Head/Combo | DEMO VIDEOS

March 24, 2016

Otis Amps announces the Trudeau Head/Combo, a 1x8 head/combo hybrid with matching 1x12 extension cabinet.

From the company:

Otis Amps are compact, high-end amplifiers with unique design and circuitry. The company’s new head/combo adds the ability to seamlessly transition from combo to head by powering a separate cabinet for increased volume, clean headroom and tonal detail.

All our amps are point-to-point wired, one at a time, on terminal strips using the best new and NOS components (Allen Bradley resistors, NOS tubes, Jupiter capacitors, Heyboer transformers, cloth-covered wire) to provide vintage tone with superior reliability.

Trudeau is physically designed with professional traveling musicians in mind. The new combo expands the functionality of our popular Starla model.

Otis Amps are compact enough to fit under the seat in front of you on your flight, but powerful enough for live shows. Each amp is entirely built by hand in our Chico, California headquarters. We are inspired by the pioneers of early guitar amplification and recreate that high that those old closet amps give us.

Trudeau Features:
• Two separate octal (NOS 6SL7) preamps with unique voicings that can be played individually or blended
• 5Y3WGTA tube rectified 15 watt output powered by NOS 6CZ5 power tubes with the ability to be substituted for the still in production 6973 power tube
• Separate volume controls for each preamp and a shared tone control.
• 8” Jupiter Ceramic speaker housed in a compact cabinet measuring 17.5”x11”x8” inches and weighing 20lbs.
• Multiple design options featuring limited runs and handmade quality handles

STREET PRICES: Trudeau, $1,099; matching cabinets, starting at $399

Otis Amps is led by musician and designer August Graybosch. Otis Amps have been used on stage and in the studio by Swimm, Sego, The Moth & The Flame, Beau Burchell(Saosin), and Matt Baxter. Every detail is executed by hand under the highest standard and amps ship with custom handmade covers.
